Museum Hosts America's 250th Anniversary Kids Event
Children Can Make Colonial Crafts and Learn About Founding Era
The Audie Murphy/American Cotton Museum will host a children's event Saturday, June 20, to celebrate America's 250th anniversary.
The 250th Kids Day will run from 10 a.m. to noon and feature activity stations where children can make crafts including tricorn hats and visit learning stations about colonial times and the nation's founding.
The museum will display items used to teach children about the colonial period.
The event was planned using materials from the America 250 traveling trunk program, borrowed from Regent King's Fort Chapter Inc., National Society Daughters of the American Revolution and Terrell ISD.
Admission costs $3 per person and includes access to the museum.
