For nearly three decades, Debbie Sickels has helped families and businesses protect what matters most.

A licensed insurance agent since 1996, Sickels spent 20 years as a captive agent before launching her own independent agency, Insurance Group of North Texas. The move allowed her to focus on what she believes matters most: serving clients based on their needs, not a single company’s offerings.

Today, her agency writes auto, home, farm and ranch, commercial and life insurance policies. But paperwork is not the heart of her business. People are.

“We service and review our clients’ insurance,” Sickels said. “Many policies have errors. Clients’ needs are the most important thing to know that they are covered correctly.”

That review process is something she believes sets her agency apart. Sickels asks detailed questions, sometimes more than clients expect at first, because she wants to understand the full picture. Gaps in coverage often come from simple oversights such as a missing vehicle, an outdated home value or a business expansion that never made it onto the policy.

Her goal is to make sure clients are properly protected before they ever need to file a claim.

“I have my clients’ best interest at heart and I will back them up,” she said.

Beyond the office, Sickels gives back personally through volunteer work in the community. Being local is not just a marketing phrase for her. It shapes how she lives and does business.

“I shop locally and I want everyone to shop local,” she said. “Supporting locally owned businesses is at the top of my list on everything I purchase.”

That commitment extends to how she shares her message. She values outlets that focus on professional, quality storytelling about the community and the businesses that serve it.

Insurance can feel complicated and impersonal. Sickels works to make it clear and personal. As an independent agency, Insurance Group of North Texas can place nearly all types of coverage, giving clients what she calls a true “one-stop insurance shop.”

For Debbie Sickels, insurance is more than policies and premiums. It is about relationships, responsibility and standing beside her clients when it matters most.
